In addition to the fun specialty camp activities, campers still enjoy classic Gilmont activities including canoeing, archery, games, disc golf, swimming, and more.
Campers arrive for Olympics on Sunday, July 14 between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 19 with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.

There is NO skill level needed for this camp – simply a desire for campers to connect with their creative selves. Camp Create is also a great option for campers who want to spend more time indoors.
In addition to the fun specialty camp activities, campers still enjoy classic Gilmont activities including canoeing, axe throwing, slingshots, zipline, cratestacking, archery, games, disc golf, swimming, and more.
Campers arrive for Camp Create on Sunday between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday, with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.
July 7-12
9th-11th grade

Each day, campers cook at least 2 meals over a campfire and learn skills to be successful in the outdoors. Don’t worry – campers will still canoe, zipline, axe throw, crate stack, play games, and practice archery! Your camper won’t want to miss this week of challenge, connection, and creation!
Adventure campers are allowed to bring a hammock or small tent for lodging, if preferred, instead of the Tree Houses.
Campers arrive for Adventure Camp on Sunday, July 7 between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday , July 12 with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.
June 30-July 12
10th-12th grade
Price: $450
During the first week, Interns assess their leadership skills and explore different leadership roles at camp. They develop tools for contributing to a safe and fun enviornment for campers and learn to lead some classic Gilmont activities.
During the second week, Interns join a group to plan and teach alongside program staff. They stay in the cabins with campers and serve as an Assistant Day or Overnight Camp Counselor.

At the beginning of the week, CYA campers work together to create their own camp schedule. They still participate in Morning Celebration, Bible Studies, and evening Vespers services and select their favorite traditional camp activities to enjoy as a group. The goal of this session is for High Schoolers to practice ownership of their schedule and camp engagement and to leave camp with a new sense of empowerment and connection.
Campers arrive for Senior High – CYA on Sunday, June 30 between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 5 with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.

2023 Forces of Nature campers built their own terrariums, collected and observed different soil samples, and had a special course on erosion science. Gilmont’s 400 acres of pineywoods is the ideal enviornment to study the outdoors!

Thank you for your interest in serving as a Junior Counselor for the Great Gluten Escape Summer Camp!
Junior Counselors serve as a role model to younger campers and help to guide, mentor, and lead them throughout the week. It’s a great way to give back to this special camp and to learn what it takes to be a Gilmont leader.
Youth who have completed 11th grade and who show maturity and responsibility are the perfect fit for this special role of Junior Counselor.

June 16-21
1-10th grade
Price: $675
Campers stay in cabins and enjoy swimming, archery, canoeing, disc golf, dance parties, and more! Thursday is a special themed day with unique activities campers complete in multi-aged small groups. Campers range in grades from completed 1st-10th.
Youth who have completed 11th grade can apply to be a Junior Counselor. Some Junior Counselors join a group of campers and assist with leading and mentoring the group. Others help in the kitchen, with media, and with recreation. All act as role models throughout the week.
Campers & Junior Counselors arrive for Great Gluten Escape on Sunday, June 16 between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 21 with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.

Campers stay in Gilmont’s air-conditioned cabins with other campers in their age group and under the supervision of their Counselors. Gilmont’s activities and small group structure allow campers to grow in character and community while having fun in the piney woods of East Texas. Activities include archery, canoeing, group games, sling shots, disc golf, nature hikes, crafts, Bible Study, and more. Campers will not only talk about the fun they had in the great outdoors; but they will also talk about their accomplishments, new friendships, and a closer relationship with God!
Campers are organized into small groups of 12-14 campers around their age. Each group is supervised by at least two carefully selected and highly trained counselors. Camp staff undergo a rigorous screening and complete a minimum of 12 days of orientation and training. Counselors are attentive, caring, and creative young adults who are passionate about spending time with children and affirming their uniqueness as Children of God. They help make the Classic Camp experience fun and enriching for all campers!
Campers arrive for Classic Camp on Sundays between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Fridays with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.
The $100 registration deposit must be paid to secure your camper’s spot in the camp you have chosen. Please pay camp fees in full 2 weeks before your session.
Attending from a PCUSA church? The Prairie Valley Legacy Scholarship (funds from the sale of one of our sister camps), will pay up to 50% of the cost of camp. Requests should be submitted using the Prairie Valley Legacy Fund Scholarship Application, and if awarded, will be paid directly to the camp. Please carefully follow the directions on the application and submit to Grace Presbytery directly.

Each year Gilmont leadership works to raise funds to help children come to camp and distributes these on an as needed basis until funds are exhausted. Families are always asked to pay the deposit for the session before requesting scholarship funds.

Full payment is due two weeks prior to the session start date.
More than 31 days before the session start date: Cancellations occurring 31+ days prior to the session start date will result in a refund of all payments including the $100 registration deposit.
Between 15 and 30 days of the session start date: Cancellations occurring between 15 and 30 prior to the retreat start date will result in a refund of all payments, except for the $100 registration deposit.
Less than 14 Days before the session start date: Cancellations occurring within 14 days prior to the session start date will result in forfeiture of payments made including the $100 registration deposit. You will be given the option to apply all payments (less the $100 registration deposit) to a future session within the following 12 months.
Summer Session Cancellation: If Gilmont is unable to host the session for any reason all payments will be refunded in full.
