Day Camp

Overview

Completed 1st-6th Graders

Gilmont Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for those who live close to Gilmont in Gilmer, Texas, to participate in all the fun of camp and still return home for dinner. Day Campers enjoy classic Gilmont activities such as canoeing, swimming, crafts, archery, games, Bible Study, and more. Campers can come for one week or join us for all four!

Camper Supervision

Day campers are organized into small groups of 10-12 children around their age. Each group is supervised by two carefully selected and highly trained counselors. Camp staff undergo a rigorous screening and complete a minimum of 12 days of orientation and training. Counselors are attentive, caring, and creative young adults who are passionate about spending time with children and affirming their uniqueness as Children of God. They help make the Day Camp experience fun and enriching for all campers!

Activities

Gilmont’s activities and small group structure allow campers to grow in character and community while spending time in the outdoors with their friends and their counselors. Campers will not only talk about the fun they had in the great outdoors; but they will also talk about their accomplishments, new friendships, and a closer relationship with God!
