Jennifer Rigoulot

Executive Director of Operations and Programs

Jennifer is no stranger to Gilmont, and is excited to serve as Co-Executive Director along with her husband, Kenny. In this role, Jennifer is focused on the day to day operations of camp, as well as scheduling programs and working with groups to make their experience at camp unforgettable. One of her joys is seeing smiles on the faces of participants as they experience all Gilmont has to offer!

Kenny Rigoulot

Executive Director of Development and Spiritual Formation

Kenny has had many formative faith experiences at Gilmont and is excited about doing all that he can to invite others to grow closer to God, creation, others, and themselves. As an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), Kenny loves to preach, teach, pastor, and worship and have fun with people of all ages. He enjoys meeting new people and is passionate about inviting others to participate, partner with, promote, and support Gilmont.

Marie Nelson

Development Associate

​Marie is Gilmont’s “go to” person for writing proposals, connecting with donors, and supporting Gilmont staff with her wealth of knowledge. Marie is fascinated by the transforming work God does through time spent at Gilmont in his beautiful creation. Marie loves to hear stories about people’s experiences while at camp – so share one with her!  She credits growing up on a farm in West Texas, graduating from Texas A&M and being blessed with a big beautiful family as things that prepared her most for the challenges and fun at Gilmont.  

Crosby Fleming

Program Director

Crosby was a counselor at Gilmont in 2015 and has returned over the years as a volunteer and Spiritual Advisor. Crosby graduated from Austin College with a B.A. in religious studies and psychology and received a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity school with a focus in Spirituality and Social Activism. Crosby loves the relationships that are built among the red soil and pines in Gilmont.

Cara Palmer

Office Manager

Cara ​is the unmistakable cheery “voice of Gilmont” – always ready to help.  Her friendly disposition and desire to serve the Lord keeps her motivated.  She joined the team in 2015 and is an important part of the Gilmont family.  Cara grew up playing outdoors in East Texas and enjoys inviting people to Gilmont to spend time in nature.  Cara and her husband David, have two children, Brice and Brooke.

Laurie Guess

Bookkeeper

Laurie comes to Gilmont with over 40 years of bookkeeping experience. Laurie and her husband Bill are recently retired from their corporate jobs and are enjoying “retirement” work at Gilmont. Laurie enjoys reading and walks around camp, as well as spending time with her family. 

Maintenance & Groundskeeping

Sam Fleming

Groundskeeping

Since 2022, Sam has served as Gilmont’s on-site maintenance team member who responds to guest needs, prepares all spaces for groups, and stewards Gilmont’s 400+ acres. He is our local beaver and axe-throwing specialist. Sam loves movies, reading, and sitting on the front porch with his wife Crosby and their dog Turtle.

Garry Mount

Groundskeeping

Garry has been coming to Gilmont since early 2000 with the Walk to Emmaus. He retired in 2022 from being a maintenance supervisor and God called him to come work part-time at Gilmont. He enjoys fixing things and working with our staff.

Bill Guess

Maintenance

Bill recently joined the Gilmont team as a Resident Volunteer. Bill can usually be found on the mower making our grounds look pristine. He also enjoys tinkering and completing projects around camp. In his down time, Bill enjoys fishing in the pond and at Lake Kilgore, as well as playing on our new disc golf course!

Kitchen and Hospitality

Mel Karsteter

Mel has been a staff member since 2022 after relocating from South East Texas. She has been involved in the food industry for many years, from BBQ cook-offs to her own catering company. When not around camp, she enjoys traveling with her grown children (Madi and Payton) and spending time with her dogs (Ollie and GG). Her ideas for camp is more fresh and less over-processed foods.

Cassie Nelson

Guest Services

Cassie has been serving up delicious meals from the Gilmont kitchen since 2007. She also works diligently to make sure our facilities are clean and comfortable. Cassie enjoys seeing the smiling faces of guests as they come through the serving line for meals!

Sue Powell

Guest Services

Sue enjoys serving others and does so in making sure our facilities are tidy and food is warm and delicious! She has been a member of the staff since 2012 and hopes all of our guests have a wonderful Gilmont experience!
