Gilmont Interns stay for two weeks and get a unique experience of summer camp. In addition to participating in classic camp activities, they also develop as leaders, mentors, and community participants. This is the perfect session for high schoolers who love Gilmont and want to discover the fun and responsibilities of becoming a camp leader.
During the first week, Interns assess their leadership skills and explore different leadership roles at camp. They develop tools for contributing to a safe and fun enviornment for campers and learn to lead some classic Gilmont activities.
During the second week, Interns join a group to plan and teach alongside program staff. They stay in the cabins with campers and serve as an Assistant Day or Overnight Camp Counselor.
Space is limited to 8 Interns per session so register soon to reserve your spot!
Interns arrive on Sunday, June 30 between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 12 with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.
