Unplug from electronics and immerse yourself in creation among an intentional community of peers at Inspire Camp!
Inspire Camp is named after Gilmont’s value of Inspiring Stewardship – as co-creators, we celebrate and nurture the abundance of God’s blessings while cultivating people’s passions, gifts, and talents for the benefit of others and the glory of God. During these week-long overnight camp sessions, high school campers recognize and cultivate their passions, gifts, and talents in the camp environment while having fun in a beloved, intentional community.
Accommodations & Activities
Campers stay in Gilmont’s air-conditioned cabins with other campers in their age group and under the supervision of their Counselors. Each cabin has two sides with four bunk beds, one counselor bed, and a private bathroom. Cabins also have a middle room where campers often play games, make cabin-friendly crafts, and talk with new and old friends.
Gilmont’s activities and small group structure allow campers to grow in character and community while having fun in the piney woods of East Texas. In addition to the classic camp activities (archery, canoeing, group games, sling shots, disc golf, nature hikes, crafts, Bible Study, and more), Inspire Campers also enjoy zipline, axe throwing, ninja stars, and crate stacking and unique evening activities such as sand volleyball, night swim, and craft night.
Campers will not only talk about the fun they had in the great outdoors; but also about their accomplishments, new friendships, and a closer relationship with God!
Age Groups & Counselors
Campers are organized into small groups of 12-14 campers around their age. At least two carefully selected and highly trained counselors supervise each group. Camp staff undergo a rigorous screening and complete a minimum of 12 days of orientation and training. Counselors are attentive, caring, and creative young adults who are passionate about spending time with children and affirming their uniqueness as Children of God. They help make the camp experience fun and enriching for all campers!
Arrival & Departure
Campers arrive for Inspire Camp on Sundays between 3:00-5:00 PM. The closing ceremony is at 3:00 PM on Fridays with pick-up beginning 30 minutes prior. Guardians and loved ones are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.
Flexible Pricing Options
Gilmont believes that every child deserves the experience and benefits of summer camp. We recognize that families have different abilities and resources to pay for a week of summer camp, which is why we are offering flexible pricing. Option A reflects the true cost of camp, Option C is the historically subsidized rate of camp, and Option B is the midpoint between the two. Click here to learn more about flexible pricing.
No matter which option you choose, the amenities, activities, and camp experience are the same.
