Fall 2024

Spiritual Practices

Overview

Adult Retreat

Experience God’s presence in beloved community. This retreat is centered around going deeper in our faith, practicing things that cause us to lean into and grow in that space. There is time for rest, reflection, and flexibility in the schedule for you to respond to the call of the Holy Spirit. This retreat will focus on generosity – something the world needs a lot more of these days!

Come hear Rev. Dr. Karl Travis talk about “God’s Gift of Generosity” one month after his book by the same title is released! Dr. Travis will provide two keynote sessions and lead small group discussions based on his book. He will also have a special session for pastors seeking to inspire congregations to recognize and respond to God’s gift of generosity.

More information

The retreat will begin Friday, September 13 with registration beginning at 4:00pm. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm, followed by the opening keynote and fellowship together. The retreat will conclude on Sunday, September 15 following worship and lunch.

Spiritual Practice Retreats invite participants to grow closer to God, creation, others, and themselves as they discuss, consider, and practice spiritual disciplines like generosity. Between sessions, there is ample free time to wander and wonder in the woods, relax in a hammock, fish in the lake, or enjoy traditional camp activities.
