Gilmont's Mission is to offer a place where people grow in mind, body, and spirit by experiencing God's love.
Since 1940 Gilmont Camp and Conference Center has been a “firm foundation” place. Over the years many people have come together and dreamed of all the things Gilmont could be and will become. We see Gilmont’s Foundation as the unrestricted funds, the lifeblood that allows us to do our day to day ministry. Matthew 7:25 says, “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
Our Mission - Over all these years Gilmont has been a place set apart for people to come and grow in mind, body, and spirit. Whether you are a camper who attends every summer, an adult who comes to one of our many programs, a student who comes to learn about our ecosystem, or a family that brings their children with a developmental disability. Gilmont is a place for all. We see Gilmont’s Mission as the people and we want to be able to support those who cannot afford to come and be a part of what this place can offer.
Our Vision - A little more than 75 years ago a group of people came together and envisioned changing an abandoned sawmill into a summer camp for youth. That happened, but Gilmont has become so much more. We now serve all ages year-round. We are excited about what God asks of us today and we are excited about what God plans for Gilmont tomorrow - 10, 20, 50 years from now. We see Gilmont’s Vision as the upkeep of today and the building of tomorrow.
