Older Campers
Day campers are organized into small groups of 10-12 children around their age. Each group is supervised by two carefully selected and highly trained counselors. Camp staff undergo a rigorous screening and complete a minimum of 12 days of orientation and training. Counselors are attentive, caring, and creative young adults who are passionate about spending time with children and affirming their uniqueness as Children of God. They help make the Day Camp experience fun and enriching for all campers!
Gilmont’s activities and small group structure allow campers to grow in character and community while spending time in the outdoors with their friends and their counselors. Campers will not only talk about the fun they had in the great outdoors; but they will also talk about their accomplishments, new friendships, and a closer relationship with God!
Upon request, Gilmont offers a sibling discount for families sending multiple children to camp. Full price will be paid for the first camper with a $25 discount applied to each additional camper in the family attending Day Camp. To request, please email [email protected] or call (903) 797-6400.
