God is Here
I will praise you among the peoples, Lord;

Invitation to look out, to look up and to look all around as you take in the sights, smells, and sounds of God’s creation.  You are invited to take a couple of deep breaths and as you do breathe in God’s grace and breathe out God’s love.   ​Read the lyrics to the hymn “God of the Sparrow” and or listen here: https://youtu.be/xXm1VOUH3eY

Look at the horizon. 
  • What can you see in the distance?
  • ​What can you see in the sky?  
  • What do you see at your feet? 
  • What colors do you see?
  • What designs and shapes do you see?
  • Listen and try to identify how many different sounds you can hear.
(Go to the Wooden Blessing Box and find some creative art supplies for reflecting or binoculars.  You can make a list of what you see and hear or you can draw a picture.)

Be Mindful of your surroundings.  
You are invited to wonder…
  • what are the birds doing?
  • ​who has walked this land before you?
  • how can you care for creation?
  • how do you say joy? Or say home? - like the hymn says
  • how is God our creator speaking to you?

Open your heart - sit and ponder    
Read Poetry in the Sky, two Poems by Miatta Wilson.

Now, take a few minutes to reflect.
Consider writing a cinquain poem or an acrostic poem (or make note to do later)
Directions and supplies are found in the Blessing Box or by clicking here.

Write the word CREATOR and doodle around it, continuing writing names for God, add symbols, lines and other doodles in various colors as you pray for all of creation. (or use one of the template sheets in the blessing box).
OR… Take a photo which captures God as creator for you.
OR...Draw a picture illustrating where God is in this place.
